National Assembly Passes Bill On Annual Student Festival

Following the incessant ASUU strike in the Nigerian Tertiary Institutions, the National Assembly has finally passed a Bill to allow "ASUU Strike" to be included in the academic calendar of our public universities.

It further asked the Presidency to sign the Bill into Law, to officially recognise ASUU Strike as a Full Annual Student Festival in Nigeria.

It would be recalled that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) embarked on a Nationwide Strike (ASUU Strike) from July 1, 2013, and up till press time, the negotiation goal post has not been shifted.
